Client Brief: 

Develop a cost effective, reliable manufacturing process for a new medical device product to meet a pre-determined launch date.

The challenge:

Time to market was key to the successful delivery of this product. The manufacturing technology and process required to meet financial payback for this product did not exist. These would need to be developed in parallel with the product design to ensure project timelines did not blow out.

Our Services:

Lead and manage the NPI manufacturing development team. Represent manufacturing department on project XFT. Develop strategy and process to de-risk ever changing product design. Provide KPI's to management in relation to manufacturing development such as: MRL, CoGs, Capex formulation, production capacities and recourse and project planning.

Result:

A manufacturing NPI manufacturing development team was formed. Early engagement with the product design engineers enabled valuable knowledge to be gathered upfront to support future manufacturing prototyping initiatives and de-risking activities. This enabled the manufacturing process development activities to happen concurrently and the time from design freeze to product launch was minimized.

Client Brief: 

To project manage the design consultants and main contractors for greenfields ice cream factory for multi national client.

The challenge:

To take over a complex project design from end of FEED stage from non local design consultants and bring it to completion with completely new team of design consultants.

Resolve local design compliant issues.

Client needed the project completed on time as they needed to vacate existing facility.

Our Services:

Project management of design consultants for Civil, Structural, Architectural, QS, Mechanical, Electrical from detailed design through to final handover.

Management of procurement process including tender preparation, adjudication and contractor appointment.

Clients agent throughout the EPCM process.

Result:

By appointing the best main contractor (not the cheapest), we were able to manage the construction phase with minimal disruption through collaboration and teamwork. When a client, consulting team and contractors come together with the aim of achieving the same goal, truly amazing things happen.

Client Brief: 

To develop a one stop shop tool to enable the management team to make good decisions with respect to: planning future strategies for NPI projects, plant layouts, factory utilization, Capex planning and resource modelling

The challenge:

Data was located in various forms, manual and electronic and accross various sortware packages.

Multiple production cells were capable of producting multiple products.

Multiple process variables for similar products on similar production cells.

Our Services:

Designing the Architecture of the tool.

Liasing with multiple departments to develop intermediate automated process steps to facilitate final solution.

Validation of final product.

Training department personnel to update and maintain new 

Result:

A production capacity model was developed which communicated to an offline sales forecasting tool and linked this information to a tool combining production scenarios on a weekly and monthly basis. This could then be used to highlight production capacity versus sales forecast and indicate when either more capacity  would need to be brought on line or when production capacity would become available if sales  forecast  was dropping.
